And Here Goes Another Celeb Leaving The Country With Her Family

Texas native Eva Longoria moved to Los Angeles in the 1990s. She began her acting career on “Beverly Hills, 90210” before going on to work on soap operas such as “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless.” Then, she landed the role that made her a star, Gabrielle Solis on the TV show “Desperate Housewives.”

Now, in 2024, Longoria has decided that she has had enough of Los Angeles, and doesn’t just want to leave the city or the state of California, but she wants to leave the country. Her reason is to provide a better life for her son, Santiago. The actress and her husband, José Bastón, are currently in the process of trying to sell their home in Beverly Hills while they ship their belongings to their new home in Marbella, Spain.

A source who spoke to The Daily Mail explained, “Eva and José are leaving Los Angeles for good and have put their home up for sale again. They took it off the market in June but recently relisted it for $4 million less in February because they are just ready to get out. They are already shipping their belongings there and this is not something that they will change their mind on. They want to raise their son in a place where he will be surrounded by nature and beauty and not be sucked into the whole Hollywood cycle.”

The source also shared that Longoria “has had everything that she wanted in Hollywood” and is “very excited” about the move.

In January, Longoria spoke to Hello magazine about why she wants to move to Marbella. She shared, “The first time I came to Marbella, two decades ago, it was love at first sight. I said to myself: ‘Some day I’ll live here.’” She added, “Both LA and Marbella are close to the sea and have wonderful weather year-round, but apart from that, they couldn’t be more different.”

She explained what her life in Los Angeles looks like saying, “I’m either on set, or in a meeting, or stuck in traffic… there’s so much traffic.” Meanwhile, in Marbella “I don’t have a schedule here. My days are full of activities – paddle tennis, the beach, lunch, drinks, socializing… in fact, they’re full to the brim, but with things I really enjoy.”
